(Atlantic) Atlantic junior Jayden Harter captured the individual title over the weekend at the Lloyd Schafer Invitational Wrestling Tournament in Marion.
The junior dominated the opposition in the 157-pound weight class all the way through the finals. With his performance, Jayden Harter is awarded the KS 95.7 Armour Insurance Athlete of the Week.
Harter started off the tournament with a 1:10 fall over Quincy Klingner, of Williamsburg, followed by a 33-second fall over Andrei Robles from Wilton, and pinned Sawyer Kirby of Williamsburg, the two seed by fall in 26 seconds. Harter polished off the tournament with a Tech Fall over Elias Bieschke of Benton Community in the finals in 4:44.
This past weekend’s performance comes on the heels of Harter reaching the 100-win mark last weekend at the Rollin Dyer Tournament.
