(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Comp Board gave its annual report to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday and gave salary recommendations for county elected officials.
Eric Reinhart of the Comp Board gave the report and suggested a 4 percent raise for supervisors; 6 percent for the County Attorney; 7 percent raise for the Treasurer, Recorder and Auditor and 15 percent to the County Sheriff.
Reinhart says that the cost of living in the county went up 2.8 percent so the salary increases would be commensurate with the population of the county.
Supervisor Brian Johnson asked whether the Comp Board still served a purpose and Reinhart believed that it does
The Supervisors will take the recommendation up during their budget conversations.
Elsewhere, the Supervisors set a public hearing for the Scott Calmer Minor Subdivision for January 27th at 9am.
