(Corning, IA) — Six teams competed in a girls wrestling duel action on Tuesday night and SWAT went 5-0, beating Clarke 48-18, beating Mount Ayr 59-0, beating Red Oak 42-24, beating Southwest Valley 42-23 and beating Wayne 54-6. Stella Beattie remained undefeated on the season going 2-0 with a fall in 30 seconds and a fall in 44 seconds. Nadia South went 2-0 with 2 falls. Bailey Lillard went 2-0 with 2 falls. Destiny Fry went 2-0 with 2 falls. Addi Glade won her only match by fall. Jenna Hardisky had four matches and went 3-1 with 3 falls.
Red Oak went 4-1 beating Clarke 54-18, beating Mount Ayr 48-12, beating Southwest Valley 36-21, and beating Wayne 53-0. Jadelyn McAlpin went 2-0 with 2 falls. Janae Schwery went 2-0 with 2 falls. Amber Rea went 2-0 with 2 falls. Bryleigh Mauer went 2-2 with 2 falls. Lilly Ford went 2-1 with 2 falls.
Southwest Valley went 3-2 beating Clarke 30-24, beating Mount Ayr 24-12, and beat Wayne 30-12. Josslyn Benge was the only wrestler for the Timberwolves who competed against Wayne and Mount Ayr with the rest of the matches forfeits. Overall, Benge 4-1 on the night with 3 falls and a tech fall. Kenzie Maeder was 2-0 with 2 falls. Deklyn Mullen was 2-1 with 2 falls.
In the other duels, Clarke went 2-3 beating Mount Ayr 30-18 and beating Wayne 24-12. Wayne went 1-4 with a win over the Raiders 12-0. Mount Ayr was 0-5.
