(New York, NY) — A health expert is spelling out the benefits to giving up alcohol on what’s a traditional health challenge this month known as dry January.
Registered dietitian Tracee Brenner says while everyone’s body is different, regular drinkers who stop should notice less grogginess in the morning, a deeper sleep, fewer body aches and better moods after just two weeks.
Brenner says instead of giving up alcohol as a ritual, replace it with a healthier drink like, sparkling water, chart cherry juice or herbal tea.
