(Avoca, IA) — Audubon will visit AHSTW in a Western Iowa Conference basketball match-up tonight, coverage on KSOM.
The Wheelers are 6-5 and have won two in a row over Red Oak and Logan Magnolia — they have a balanced scoring ledger with Senior Austin Christensen (10.5 ppg), Senior Brody Schultes (10.5 ppg), Sophomore Aiden Kjergaard (9.9 ppg) but lately it has been Sophomore Jorgen Nowatzke lately that has led the way. He had 15 against the Tigers and then 20 against the Panthers — Head Coach Darran Miller
AHSTW is led by Senior Colin Harder at 11.9 ppg and Sophomore Evan Harder at 10.9 points a contest. Miller says their defense has to focus on stopping their penetration to create scoring opportunities
The Vikings are 2-6 but have been competitive in every game — they lost a tight one to IKM Manning 68-64 on Tuesday. Collin Harder’s offense is slipped a little recently but Head Coach GG Harris is not worried
Both teams have some size — Kayden Jorgensen, Parker Krohn and Dayton Osbahr for AHSTW — Brody Weber, Austin Christensen, Sullivan McClain for Audubon. Harris hopes his bigs can dominate the boards and his guards take care of the ball
Audubon visits AHSTW in a boys basketball contest tonight, tipoff at 7:30 pm, our coverage starts at 7:15 — audio on 96.5 FM KSOM and video on You Tube and Western Iowa Today TV.
