(Harlan) Shelby County Chamber of Commerce & Industry Director Todd Valline updated the Harlan City Council on several upcoming events in the county.
Valline said legislative coffees are scheduled for January 17 at the Chamber Atrium, February 21 at the Shelby County Farm Bureau, and March 21 at Milk & Honey. He also noted there is a new exhibition at the Museum of Danish America.
Valline said Marne Elk Horn is presenting a senior safety video series to discuss cyber safety. The first session will be held January 28 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Elk Horn Public Library. In addition, a family fun night will be held at the Harlan Library on January 22.
In other activity from Tuesday’s Harlan City Council Meeting, Troy Schaben was reappointed as Mayor Pro-Tem; Luke Wolken was appointed Health Officer for a two year term; Todd Argotsinger was appointed Attorney for a two-year term; and Wava Bails was appointed Treasurer for a one-year term.
