(Montgomery Co.) Two people suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision in Montgomery County.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says Deputies were called to the 2500 block of Highway 48 at 4:20 p.m. on Monday. According to the report, a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva, operated by Debra Lafollette of Red Oak, was northbound on Highway 48 when a southbound 2010 Ford Edge, operated by Sean Belgrave of Shenandoah, crossed the center line for unknown reasons and struck Lafollette.
Both Lafollette and Belgrave were transported to the hospital by Red Oak Rescue personnel.
Both vehicles were considered a total loss. No citations have been issued at this time. The accident investigation is ongoing.
The Montgomery County Communications Center, Red Oak Police Department and Red Oak Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
