(Black Hawk Co.) One person died in an accident in Black Hawk County this (Tuesday) morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 7:43 a.m. at Canfield Road and Independence Avenue. A 2007 Chevy Impala was eastbound on Independence Avenue and pulled out in front of a southbound 2005 Peterbilt Semi. Both vehicles came to rest in the southeast ditch.
The driver of the Impala was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation and no names have been released at this time.
