Iowa’s America 250 Scenic Byways Road Trip Launches This Month

(Undated) — Starting this month, Iowans will have a chance to celebrate America’s 250th birthday and learn about Iowa history with a trip through the state’s scenic byways.

Brennan Dolan, with the Iowa Department of Transportation, says  “Iowa’s America 250 Scenic Byways Road Trip” will feature six free monthly educational events, one each month from January to June, where people can learn about Iowa’s contributions to American History.

The series begins January 18th with an event at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park Lodge.
