(Deep River, IA) — The Iowa State Patrol reports a one vehicle crash near Deep River, Iowa resulted in the death of the driver. On Monday morning at 7:05 am, a 2005 Ford Escort was traveling westbound on IA 85 and the vehicle left the roadway in a curve due to the icy conditions and overturned multiple times. The driver, 45 year old Kara A. Westphal of Deep River was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by multiple agencies.
