(Clarinda, IA) — Clarinda won their own girls wrestling tournament on Saturday, winning with 156.5 points ahead of 2nd place Kuemper Catholic with 130.5.  Johnston was third at 122; Creston 4th at 116.5 and Audubon rounded out the top 5 with 116 points.

The Wheelers had two champs — Jordon Mulford at 100 pounds went 3-0 with 3 falls and Macy Rasmussen at 110 went 4-0 with 3 falls.  Olivia Poldberg was 2nd at 115 going 2-1 losing in the finals to Kambry Gordon of Clarinda 6-3.  Emma Korwes was 2nd at 235 and Elena Harbour was 3rd at 145.

Kenzie Maeder was the top finisher for Southwest Valley, 2nd at 140 and going 2-1 losing by fall to Lily Weinrich of Clarinda in the finals.

For ATU, Sophia Hazen won at 105 pounds going 3-0 with 2 falls and getting a tech fall in the finals over Eva Chestnut of Creston.  Annabel Baxter was 2nd at 155 and Trinity Bret 2nd at 110 who had to bow out of the finals with an injury.

Clarinda had 5 champs — Gordon at 115, Kylar Downey at 125, Weinreich at 140, Jalon Olson at 155 and Aliyah Payne at 235.

KC did not have any champions but Sadie Smith was 2nd at 130 and Cara Schuette was 2nd at 145.

Willow Ray of West Central Valley won at 130 pounds winning 11-3 MD over Sadie Smith of KC.

Grace Keeler of Creston won at 135.  Cheyenne Dike of East Union won at 145.
