(Griswold, IA) — The Griswold girls wrestling team is in the middle of its first full season by itself. The wins have not come in bunches for the Tigers but they have come. Griswold did win the Corner Conference tournament and Head Coach Alicia Dofner they are constantly trying to get better
Senior Alexis Dofner is only 3-10 at 130 pounds but it’s incredible she is on the mat at all — she has had to overcome seizures and Tourette’s syndrome
Junior Abbi Henderson is 4-5 at 170 pounds but she is full of energy says Dofner
Also for Griswold, Sophomore Zoey Baker and Freshmen Brianna Dofner, Aleah Smith, and Addalynn Phelps have hit the mat — Phelps is the only one with a record over .500 at 7-4.
Griswold will be at the Clarinda Tournament this Saturday.
