(Iowa City, IA) — Iowa men’s basketball ended their 2025 schedule with a dominating performance, blowing past UMass 90-62 in their final non-conference game of the regular season.
The Hawkeyes led the entire way, scoring the game’s first 8 points, using a 9-0 run later on to lead 28-8 midway through the first half. Iowa was 32-55 from the field for 58 percent in the game but was just 4-14 on their threes. Bennett Stirtz led the way with 22 points and 8 assists. Stirtz was 7-13 from the field, only 1-4 on this threes and a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line.
Cam Mayawu had 14 points and 9 rebounds, Alvarao Folgueiras came off the bench with 14 points and Tavion Banks chipped in 12 for Iowa (11-2, 1-1).
Angel Montas Jr. had 23 points for Lowell (5-10).
Next up for Iowa, they host UCLA on Saturday.
