(Greenfield) Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says the Trojans looked like a different team despite the loss to Nodaway Valley on Monday. The Trojans fell short 67-63. Coach Vargason says they challenged the team after the two-point loss to Lewis Central last Friday.
Three players scored in double figures for the Trojans. Katrina Williams led the team with 19 points, Zoey Kirchhoff, 14, Jillian Saathoff, Brynn Lamp, and Maddison McLaren fired in ten points.
The Trojans knocked down six three-point shots. Saathoff and Kirchhoff each splashed two three-point baskets. Makenna Schroeder and Madison McLaren accounted for one three-point basket each.
Izzy Eisbach led Nodaway Valley with 40 points, and Emma Boswell added 22.
The Wolverines head into the Christmas Break at 6-1. Atlantic is 4-5.
