(Atlantic, IA) — Atlantic Boys Swimmers will be competing tonight in a triangular in Carroll along with Boone although Head Coach Cody McCreedy does not expect to have his full roster available because of other commitments.
Atlantic competed on Tuesday at SE Polk and finished a solid 5th place out of 9 teams and placed ahead of Des Moines Hoover, Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Centerville who have much larger teams. One highlight from Tuesday was Sophomore Kort Rieken in the 100 butterfly who got the 4th fastest time in Atlantic history
The best performance from Tuesday says McCreedy was Senior Hunter Quist in the 100 breaststroke
Overall, McCreedy is seeing times drop early in the season and personal bests being set before the winter break
Atlantic has added a meet this Saturday to replace the one that got canceled last Saturday — the Trojans will be going to Marshalltown to compete against the Bobcats, Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Williamsburg.
