(Cass County) A Pottawattamie County Man died in a semi accident on Interstate 80 in Cass County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Tuesday morning in the westbound lanes near the 58-mile marker. Authorities identified the deceased as 69-year-old Robert M. Johnson, of Crescent, Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash. According to the report, a 1999 Peterbilt semi traveling westbound for an unknown reason entered the north ditch and struck a tree line. The driver, Robert M. Johnson, was ejected from the semi during the crash.
