(Griswold) The Griswold School Board welcomed two new members and recognized two long-time board members who did not seek re-election at Monday’s School Board meeting. Griswold Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs mentioned two retiring board members, Scott Peterson, first elected in 2011, and Don Smith, first appointed in January of 2015.
Additionally, two returning and two new members were sworn in last night.
The Board re-elected Ryan Smith as president and voted Erica Kirchhoff in as vice-president.
The Board also discussed the proposed 4-day school week in depth. Henrichs says it is his opinion that if the Board decides to go forward, it will not be next school year. Henrichs says the Board still has questions regarding a survey. The Board will hold a work session on January 5 at 6:00 p.m., with the committee and the Board focusing on several topics and identifying a couple of scenarios to share with stakeholders.
