(Council Bluffs) The Atlantic boys wrestling team finished with some strong performances in Day One of the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic. Collin Harris at 120 pounds, and Braxton Hass at 132 pounds, day one with perfect 5-0 records, and are still in the running on the championship Gold Bracket, heading into Day 2.
Hass won his quarterfinal match by disqualification over Zander Manz of Lewis Central and earned a spot in the semifinals. Harris will wrestle in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Dayton Van Horn, (106) went 2-2, Keaton Schroeder, (126) is 3-1, Kalvin Hayes, (150) went 3-2, Jayden Harter, (157), 3-2, Dreven Smith, (175), 2-2, Donovan Hedrington, (190) is 3-1 and wrestling on the consolation side of the championship bracket. Travin Thomas (215) is (2-2), and Cooper Woolsey finished the day at 2-2.
