(Atlantic) The Atlantic boys’ basketball team looks to build off its win on Tuesday when it hosts Creston tonight. The boys’ game will be played first at 6:00 p.m. as part of this girl/boy doubleheader.
The Trojans are coming off a 62-57 win over Clarinda on Tuesday night. Atlantic Head Coach Dalton Franken says there were a lot of positives taken from the game on Tuesday.
The Trojans opened the offense, splashing down some key three-point shots.
Next up for the Trojans is Creston. The Panthers enter the contest looking for their first win of the season. Panthers guard Rhett Driskell leads the team in scoring, averaging 16 points and eight rebounds per contest. Coach Franken labels Driskell as one of the best guards in the conference.
Coach Franken says to be successful, they need to be sound defensively, apply ball pressure, provide gap help, and limit the Panthers to one shot so they can get into transition and go.
We will have the game on KS95.7, and live-video-streamed on westerniowatoday.com. The pre-game starts at 5:45 with the tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
