(Atlantic) The Atlantic boys topped Creston and Red Oak in a double-dual at Red Oak on Tuesday night. Atlantic downed Creston 53-18 and defeated Red Oak 60-16. Creston defeated Red Oak 56-12.
Atlantic 53 Creston 18
Atlantic and Creston squared in the first match of the evening. The Trojans won 10 of the 14 matches, with both teams double-forfeiting at 113 pounds.
Collin Harris (120) got the Trojans off to a fast start, pinning Creston’s Colt Key in just 31 seconds. Keaton Schroeder and Braxton Hass followed with a decision and a tech fall, putting Atlantic ahead 14–0 early. Schroeder (126) defeated Ben James by a 10–3 decision, and Hass (132) added five more team points with a 20–3 tech fall over Kylen Parsons in 3:02.
Creston halted the Trojans’ momentum with back-to-back pins. Lane Travis (138) pinned D’Art Hansen in 3:13, and Broderick Phelps (144) pinned Landon Hagen in 1:57, narrowing the score to 14–12. That was as close as the Panthers would get.
Atlantic responded by rattling off 33 straight points to build a 47–12 lead with three matches remaining. Carter Hadley (150) earned a 14–5 major decision over Zadek Engdahl. Kalvin Hayes (157) pinned Colby Brammer in 3:23, Jayden Harter (165) won by 17–2 Tech Fall over Jose Avila in 2:23, and Dreven Smith (175) pinned Nate Bentley in 1:28. Donovan Hedrington (190) added another fall in 1:11 over Riggins Hanson, and Travin Thomas (215) continued his strong season with a pin over Thomas Mikkelsen in 3:24.
Creston’s Gunner Martwick (285) stopped the run with a 54-second pin of Cooper Woolsey. Atlantic’s Dayton Van Horne closed out the dual with a forfeit win. Both teams forfeited again at 113, making the final score 53–18 in favor of the Trojans.

Atlantic 60 Red Oak 16
The Trojans jumped out to a fast start against Red Oak, with both teams opening the dual by double-forfeiting at 106 pounds. Atlantic then rolled through the early weights, starting with Dayton Van Horne (113), who pinned Terrance Rayborn in 4:52. Collin Harris (120) followed with a fall over Izic Zarate in 1:15, and Keaton Schroeder (126) added another pin, defeating Jacob Woodend in 1:15.
The Trojans’ pin streak continued as Braxton Hass (132) won by forfeit, and Landon Hagen (138) earned a fall in 2:50 over Carson Van Scoy.
Red Oak’s Dayton Gusman (144) briefly halted the momentum with a 7–0 decision over Atlantic’s Carter Hadley.
Atlantic quickly regained control. Kalvin Hayes (150) pinned Noah Smimiotis in just 38 seconds, Jayden Harter (157) followed with a 36-second fall over Adrian Gaunt, and Dreven Smith (165) pinned Aaron Perez in 1:34.
Red Oak’s Jackson Perdue (175) broke the run with an 11–0 major decision against Callan Kluever. Atlantic answered again, as Donovan Hedrington (190) pinned Alex Dykes in 1:14 and Travin Thomas (215) earned a 30-second fall over Jared Scriver.
The dual closed with Red Oak’s Oliver Dykes (285) pinning Atlantic’s Cooper Woolsey in 1:03.

Creston won nine of the 14 matches. Ben James, (126), Tyler Travis (132), Lane Travis, (138), Broderick Phelps, (144) Zadek Engdahl, (150), Colby Brammer (157), Riggin Hanson (190) and Gunner Martwick all won by falls. Jose Avila (165) and Thomas Mikkelsen (215) each won by major decision.
For Red Oak Jackson Rea won by forfeit at (113), Izic Zarate (120) and Jackson Perdue (175) won by decision.
