(Anita) The CAM School Board held a Public Hearing on the Instructional Support Levy on Monday night.
Schools Superintendent Pam Stangeland says it needs to be renewed every five years. Stangeland says this is a vital source of income for the district. She says it is one of the smallest levies that a tax base can levy.
It is 12 cents per $1,000 of valuation. Stangeland says the last fiscal year, the levy provided $67,000 of funding for the CAM School District.
The CAM School Board moved to the agenda for the retiring board.
The School Board re-elected Cara Murphy as the Board President, Vice-President, Julie Williamson, and Board Secretary/Board Treasurer, Stephanie Fluckey. The school board will continue to meet on the second Monday of each month, starting at 6:30 at the CAM High School Media Center.
