(Glenwood) Atlantic pulled off a come-from-behind 43–39 road victory over Glenwood on Friday night.
Both teams struggled to find their rhythm offensively in the opening quarter, with the Rams holding a narrow 7–5 lead heading into the second. Glenwood gained momentum before halftime, outscoring the Trojans 10–3 in the period. Maggie Smith and Kelsey Hughes each knocked down a three-pointer, while Haylee Hughes and Mya Donscheski added field goals to give the home team a 17–8 advantage at the break.
The Rams stretched their lead to 21–10 early in the third quarter, fueled by eight points from Maggie McChesney, and it briefly appeared they might pull away for good. But Atlantic had other plans. The Trojans regrouped, clamped down defensively, and mounted an 8–0 run to cut the deficit to 21–18. Glenwood managed to steady itself enough to take a 25–21 lead into the final quarter.
Momentum swung quickly in the fourth. Senior Zoey Kirchhoff buried back-to-back three-pointers to give Atlantic its first lead of the half at 27–25, and the Trojans never trailed again. They pushed the advantage to 39–33 late in the period before the Rams mounted one last surge, trimming the margin to a single possession. Makenna Schroeder then sank two clutch free throws in the closing moments to seal the 43-30 win.

The Trojans even its’ record to 2-2, and host Clarinda on December 9. Glenwood falls to 0-2 on the season, and travel to Denison on Tuesday, December 9.
