(Atlantic) Atlantic Receiver and Defensive End Brock Goodrich signed a National Letter of Intent this morning to play football at Northwestern College in Orange City.
Goodrich, playing Tight End and Wide Receiver during his senior year, caught 11 passes for 172 yards, averaging 15.6 yards per catch. On defense, Goodrich had 29 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and six sacks.
Goodrich says Northwestern College is a good institution with a solid football program, and he is looking forward to arriving on campus in July and starting work.
Goodrich says the desire to play at the next level hit him last spring during a football camp.
Goodrich notes that being a freshman on a team this season will be one of the biggest challenges.
Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer says that as a three-starter, Brock will be missed.
Brock credited his time playing for Atlantic with developing his work ethic and leadership skills, and he plans to bring those habits with him to the college level.
Brock will study nursing to become an Anesthesiologist
