(Washington, DC) — Home prices are rising slower than the rate of inflation for the fourth straight month.
The latest S&P Case-Shiller National Home Price Index posted a one-point-three percent annual gain for September which is down slightly from the previous month. September’s CPI came in one-point-seven percent above housing appreciation.
All 20 metro areas recorded monthly declines as high mortgage rates keep many homes buyers on the sidelines.
