(Humboldt) One person died in a single-vehicle accident in Humboldt County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened in the early afternoon hours on November 26. Authorities say 83-year-old Paul Bengston, of Storm Lake died in the crash.
According to the report, Mr. Bengston was driving a 2020 Ford Edge eastbound on Highway 3, and for unknown reasons the vehicle crossed the centerline, overcorrected, entered the east ditch, struck a driveway, and rolled several times.
The Iowa State Patrol received assistance from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and the Humboldt Fire Department.
