(Oakland, Iowa) Golden Hills RC&D is hosting a special webinar on December 11, inviting landowners to learn more about the art and science of streambank stabilization.
The event brings two seasoned voices in the field. John Thomas, former Hungry Canyons Alliance Program Director, will return to share his experience. Alongside him, Adam Rupe of JEO Consulting Group, will delve into the practical realities of stabilizing eroding streambanks. Between them, they would walk attendees through the benefits, types, design, and installation of this vital conservation practice—one that could help landowners protect their property and local waterways alike.
The two speakers will provide examples of in-progress and recently completed work a look at how design translates into action on the ground. And after the presentations, both speakers would stay on for an open question-and-answer session.
The webinar is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is required, and complete details for the event and the broader project are available online at the Golden Hills RC&D website.
