(Guthrie Center, IA) — AC/GC went 22-2 a year ago and came so close to the state tournament, falling in the Regional Finals. Only point guard Shay Lemke leaves that team so there is no reason why the Chargers cannot contend for a state berth this season. Seniors Camyden Richter, Becca Littler, and Karlie Kautzky and Junior Stella Largent all are back.
Littler (6.2 ppg) shot the 2nd most threes last year but was only 24 percent from beyond the arc — she has worked hard to fix that
Kautzky (5.1 ppg) says the Chargers use a variety of defenses to make things happen
Richter (15.0 ppg) can get a lot of points in the paint but she has worked on shooting from the outside as well
Largent averaged 10.2 points a game and gets the majority of her points inside. As far as Lemke’s point guard spot, Head Coach Brad Baudler is turning to a back up from last year
AC/GC will open the season tonight at IKM Manning
