(Atlantic) The Atlantic wrestling team is now in the second week of preseason practice, with nearly 30 wrestlers on the roster. After previously highlighting the senior and junior returning lettermen, today we will focus on the five returning sophomore letterwinners.
Keaton Schroeder returns after posting a 42-win season a year ago. Atlantic Head Coach Tim Duff says Schroeder just missed qualifying for the State Tournament last season while wrestling at 106 pounds.
Coach Duff says Landon Hagen and Mason Betts are a couple of other returning letterwinners.
Callan Kluever returns to the squad this season. Coach Duff says Kluever was thrown to the fire this past season, wrestling up a weight class at the varsity level.
The fifth returning letterwinner is Travin Thomas, who wrestled in the 215-pound weight class as a freshman.
The Trojans open the season at home on December 4 against Earlham. The meet starts at 6:00 p.m.
