(Onawa, IA) — West Monona High School hosted the Western Iowa Tournament in girls wrestling on Saturday. Audubon finished in third place out of 9 teams; Treynor was 4th and ATU 8th place. Western Iowa won with 201 points followed by Missouri Valley at 176.5 and the Wheelers at 157 points.
Audubon had three champs: Macy Rasmussen went 3-0 with 3 falls at 115 pounds; Olivia Poldberg was 3-0 with 3 falls including one in 12 seconds at 120 pounds and Elena Harbour was 3-0 with 3 falls at 140 pounds. Jordan Mulford lost in the finals at 105 pounds by fall at 3:31 to Sophia Hazen of ATU and went 1-1 for 2nd place. Mackayla Zuniga was 3rd at 100 pounds.
Hazen was 1 of 2 champions for ATU, winning both of her maFtches by fall at 105. Cecilia Forrester won the 100 pound class going 2-0 with 2 falls.
