(Atlantic) Santa Claus made his annual trip to Atlantic on Thursday evening to help kick off the Christmas season during the Grand Lighting Ceremony held in front of the Historic Rock Island Depot in Downtown Atlantic.
Mayor Grace Garrett welcomed Santa, who joined the large crowd to light the 200,000 sparkling lights decorating the trees along Chestnut Street and in City Park.
After the ceremony, the Atlantic Fire Department escorted Santa to his cabin in City Park, where he greeted children.
