(Ames, IA) — Number 16 Iowa St. is back on the hardwood tonight for the first time in a week as they host Stonehill College, coverage on KSOM.
Last Monday, ISU beat Mississippi St. 96-80. Tamin Lipsey led the way with 25 points on 9-17 shooting and 2-5 from three point land. He was dynamic on the court and more importantly, Head Coach TJ Otzelberger says he is healthy
Otzelberger is also excited about newcomer Jamarion Batemon who has made an impact early this season — 11 points against Grambling and only 6 against Mississippi St. but they were big three pointers
Last week, Iowa St. announced the signing of four high school kids to letters of intent and will join the Cyclones next season. 6-4 Guard Yusif Gray from Milwaukee is a 4 star recruit from ESPN; 6-8 Forward Jackson Kiss from New Zealand is a 4 star prospect from ESPN and 247 Sports; 6-10 Forward Dorian Rinaldo-Kamian from France is a late commit and 6-5 Guard Christian Wiggins from just west of the Twin Cities is rated as the #103 recruit in the country by Rivals.
Tonight Iowa St. hosts Stonehill College who recently made the jump to NCAA Division I — the school is in Easton, Massachusetts and is south of Boston and north of Providence, RI in the Northeast Conference. They are not eligible for the NCAA Tournament until next season.
