(Audubon, IA) — 2025 was a successful season for the Audubon volleyball team — doubling their win total from last fall. The Wheelers went from 8 wins to going 16-18. Molly Lange returned to coach the team but ended up missing the start of the season on maternity leave so assistant Chris Derry took over. Lange says it was a season to remember but in the end the record was not what she was looking for
Senior Harlow Miller put up some all-state type of numbers — 435 kills which was 13th in the state and 5th in Class 1A. She also had 264 digs, 34 blocks, and 52 aces. Lange says she is one of the hardest working volleyball players she has ever coached
Audubon will also lose starters Anna Larsen (692 assists), Abby Wanser who missed time because of an injury and Kadence Sporrer (191 kills, 306 digs). Lange says they have some huge shoes to fill next year
Juniors Riley Miller, Maya King, and Maddie Derry return next year along with Sophomores Mackayla Zuniga and Lucy Stanerson.
