(Red Oak) One person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Red Oak.
Red Oak Police say the accident happened on Thursday at around 8:10 a.m. at the intersection of E. Summit and Highland Streets. According to the press release, a private vehicle transported 28-year-old Tristain Blackburn, of Red Oak, to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Red Oak Police say a Ford Focus, driven by Blackburn, traveling northbound on Highland, stopped at the intersection, proceeded to turn left onto E. Summit Street, and failed to see an eastbound Toyota Avalon driven by 29-year-old Alexis Bronner. The Toyota struck the left rear side of the Ford.
Police cited Blackburn for Failure to Yield upon a Left Turn. Police estimated the damage to both vehicles combined at $11,000.
