(Red Oak) — The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved claims totaling $768,455.57 during their Wednesday meeting. The majority of the expenses were related to budgeted costs for the Secondary Roads Department.
Among the major claims were the purchase of a new motor grader for just over $300,000, a new chassis costing around $100,000, and approximately $100,000 for a dump truck box that had been ordered 18 months ago.
A bridge on 210th Street west of L Avenue, which was closed last year, will be replaced with a low-water crossing. The letting date for that project (RO 3603) is scheduled for January 20, 2026.
Recent work has included shoulder maintenance on H20 and M37, as well as improvements on Boxelder and C Avenue. Additionally, the bridge projects on L Avenue and Q Avenue are scheduled to be let next Tuesday, November 18.
In other action, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors approved the Recorder’s report of fees for October 31, 2025, totaling $19,551.15. The board also accepted the Treasurer’s semi-annual report, showing an ending fund balance of $14,580,816.89 as of October 31, 2025. Additionally, the supervisors approved the Sheriff’s report of fees for the same period, totaling $5,174.65.
The supervisors also approved the first Tier of Canvass for the November 4, 2025, City/School Election.
