(Guthrie Center) – The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved three construction projects during Wednesday’s Board meeting.
Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern presented and received approval for the final plans for the Adair–Guthrie County Hot Mix Asphalt Resurfacing Project on 350th Street, running east from Redwood Road for two miles south of Menlo.
The estimated cost of the project is $1,051,000, with expenses split evenly between Adair and Guthrie Counties through farm-to-market funds. The project will be let through the Iowa Department of Transportation in February 2026, with a late start date anticipated in the fall of 2026. The Board approved the project to move forward with bidding.
The Supervisors also approved Federal Aid funding through the Iowa DOT for a bridge replacement project on Luna Avenue between 140th Street and 150th Street.
In addition, the Board approved the purchase of temporary and permanent easements from three property owners for another bridge replacement project. The total cost for the easements is approximately $12,496.
