(Audubon, IA) — Audubon will be hitting the road on Tuesday and will stay in Cedar Falls the night before their 8 Man Semifinal showdown with #1 Bishop Garrigan, coverage of the game on KSOM.
There were no major injuries that came out of the Iowa Valley game last Thursday in the 26-19 win. Several players had to come out of the game but Head Coach Sean Birks says none were severe and everybody will be available to play against the Golden Bears. Birks says it was one of the few games this season where everybody was expected to play four quarters with a lot on the line.
One of the biggest plays in the game was Hayden Larsen fielding a bad snap on a punt and somehow kicking it out of danger — forcing the Tigers to go the length of the field on their final drive. Birks says that was huge plus another one early in the first quarter
Birks is extremely proud of how his football team responded to adversity to beat Iowa Valley on the road
Now the challenge of playing Bishop Garrigan which only came into the 8 Man game in 2021 the same year that Audubon last went to the Dome. Birks is hoping to treat this game like any other but its hard because there are so many abnormalities about it
