(Des Moines) The National Weather Service says a winter weather system will bring a mix of rain and snow across Iowa on Saturday.
Several inches of snow are most likely to fall from northwestern into north central Iowa, with lower chances farther south and east as temperatures will remain above freezing. Even in those areas, pockets of accumulating snowfall may occur as the precipitation moves through. It will end by late in the day, but scattered light snow showers will then be possible Saturday night.
Any such snow showers may reduce visibility at times, but would produce little additional accumulation.
