(Greenfield, IA) — After a winless 2024 season, 11-25 does not look bad. Nodaway Valley volleyball showed a lot of improvement this season as Head Coach Allison Kiburz returned to the bench. Kiburz says she had to change the mindset of the team before she could even worry about play on the court
Nodaway Valley was led by Senior Emma Boswell with 166 kills and Senior Kylie Nelson with 114 kills. Other seniors included Izzy Eisbach (48 kills, 134 digs, 30 blocks, 24 aces), Mallory Russell, Caroline Britten, and Kiara Stevens
The Wolverines return players in two key spots — Sophomore Mattison Thompson was the setter with 355 assists plus 120 digs and 2 aces — and there is Junior Libero Allie Cornelison with 301 digs. Kiburz says both players will be counted on to lead the team next year
Nodaway Valley also returns Emma Boswell’s sister Ella and Sophomore Taylor Laughery who led the team in blocks this season with 36.
