(Oakland) The Riverside School District public measure on the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) failed with 697 No votes (64.24%) to 388 (35.76%) Yes votes.
The PPEL was going to be used for projects recommended in a Facilities Assessment Report.
PPEL is a voter-approved levy that generates funds schools may use for infrastructure and equipment repairs, purchases, and improvements. Funds may be used only for these purposes and cannot be spent on salaries or instructional programming.
