(Audubon, IA) — Audubon’s football team advanced to the Round of 8 on Friday with an 82-0 whitewashing of Montezuma. While the offense has put up some amazing numbers, the defense pitched its third shutout of the year and limited the Braves to minus 5 yards rushing. Junior Hayden Larsen plays on one Defensive End and has 24 tackles, 11 solo, 8 TFLs, and 5 sacks and he says the defense worked hard to get to this point
Senior Izik Sorensen is the Nose Guard who now has 24 tackles, 15 solo, 6 TFL and 3 Sacks and has been a dominating presence in the middle
Senior Brody Weber has 31 tackles, 20 solo, 13 tackles for a loss, and 3 sacks. He says the reason the Wheelers is so good is because he team chemistry is just right
Weber feels like the team got motivated when the pre-season polls pretty much ignored them
