(Creston, IA) — The Creston Food Pantry served a record number of families Sunday, including over 100 people whose SNAP benefits are delayed because of the government shutdown.
That’s Jodi Rush of the Creston Food Pantry. Over 250 households were served there Sunday, which is the highest number they’ve seen. Rush says that includes some who have also lost their health insurance because of state cuts to Medicaid.
