(Guthrie Center, IA) — Summit Carbon Solutions is under new ownership and is making presentations to area counties about their CO2 pipeline and Tuesday they were at the Guthrie County Supervisors meeting.
The new Summit Carbon Solutions Senior Project Manager Brent Niese made his presentation to the supervisors and talked about easement options, survey and construction commitment, emergency responder preparedness and ways to partner with the community. Guthrie County Supervisor Mike Dickson pushed back on several issues including water usage when Niese did not give exact figures
Dickson further interacted with Niese telling him that it might be new ownership but there has been little change
Summit Carbon Solutions plans on public meetings in Iowa but there is currently not one scheduled in Guthrie County — Supervisor Chair Maggie Armstrong suggested to Niese to try and schedule one.
