(Council Bluffs, IA) — Audubon has won two matches in a row and have have advanced to the Class 1A, Region 6 semifinals — tonight they visit St. Albert, coverage on KS 95.
The Wheelers swept Heartland Christian and then beat Woodbine in four sets. Harlow Miller led with 31 kills, 16 digs, 3 blocks and 2 aces against the Tigers. Kadence Sporrer had 14 kills and 24 digs. Audubon Head Coach Molly Lange thought her team was well prepared to beat Woodbine
Miller is 4th in Class 1A in kills with 419 and she can hit it from all areas of the court says Lange
St. Albert had a first round bye and then swept Exira EHK in the quarterfinals. The Saintes have a three headed attack with Junior Brooklyn Rutledge leading with 291 kills, Junior Naomi Sherrill with 209 kills and Junior Sophia Denton with 170 kills. Senior Molly Wise is the setter with 657 assists. Lange says St. Albert is good all the way around and she says they have to somehow get the Saintes off balance
Audubon is 16-17, St. Albert 16-15, winner will face either top seeded East Mills or Stanton in the Regional Finals on Wednesday. Game time tonight is 7 pm on KS 95.
