(Guthrie Center) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors will act on a final consideration of a resolution Declaring Emergency Medical Services an Essential Service in Guthrie County. If EMS becomes a new essential service, the County could receive funding for emergency medical services through income surtax funds.
The supervisors will also discuss and act on the Guthrie County First Responders acting as the Fiscal Agent for Guthrie County and First Responders.
Project Manager Brent Niese, of Project Manager for Summit Carbon Solutions, will provide a project update.
The Supervisors will also discuss an Iowa State Association of Counties Financial Support Request. This is funding for an Amicus Brief in the case of Couser vs Shelby County.
The meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. on October 28.
