(Hepburn, Iowa) A Page County man faces multiple charges following a brief standoff in Hepburn.
According to the Page County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, at approximately 8:08 p.m., Page County Communications received a report that an individual had fired a shotgun at a neighbor.
Law enforcement officers from the Page County Sheriff’s Office, along with deputies from Adams, Montgomery, Taylor, and Fremont counties, the Clarinda Police Department, Red Oak Police Department, the Iowa State Patrol, and Clarinda Regional Health Center EMS, responded to the incident at 112 2nd Street in Hepburn, Iowa.
After a short standoff, Michael Lee Rose Sr. was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to the Page County Jail and booked on multiple charges, including:
- Possession of an offensive weapon by a prohibited person (two counts)
- Intimidation with a dangerous weapon
- Going armed with intent
- Possession of a short-barreled shotgun
