(Atlantic) Atlantic and Shenandoah will face off in a Class 3A Regional Volleyball quarterfinal this evening at Atlantic.
The Trojans enters the match with a record of 17-18, while Shenandoah comes in at 5-21. During the regular season, Atlantic defeated Shenandoah in three closely contested sets: 25-22, 25-18, and 26-24. Atlantic Head Coach Alyssa Boltz emphasizes that tonight’s match is a completely different game.
Coach Boltz notes that the key to success will be ball control and ensuring the ball reaches the front-line players effectively. Jaci Reed leads the Trojans with 149 kills, followed by Jillian Saathoff with 127, and Reese Harlan with 255.
The Trojans have also seen strong performance from their backline players. Taylee Hagen leads with 318 digs, followed by Zoey Kirchhoff with 182, Claire Schroder with 170, and Peyton McLaren with 136.
Lyndie Green leads the Fillies with 202 kills, while setter Kalyn Scamman contributes 101 kills and 236 assists. Abby Dumler stands out defensively for the Fillies with 253 digs.
