(Boone, IA) — The Iowa High School Athletic Association announced the playoff qualifiers on Friday night. In 8 Man football, Exira EHK gets an at large bid and last spot in the playoffs for the 2nd straight season. In District 9, Audubon was the champ and number one seed. Coon Rapids Bayard, beat Glidden Ralston and Ar-We-Va beat CAM so they tied for 2nd place. CRB earned the tiebreaker. Exira EHK and CAM tied for 4th but the Spartans RPI was 0.33 while CAM finished -1.17. Moravia earned the other at large playoff bid in 8 Man at 1.17.
The top three seeds in 8 Man District 8 were Bedford, East Union and Lenox. In 8 Man District 10, it was Woodbine, Fremont Mills, and Boyer Valley.
In Class A, District 7 it was AC/GC, Riverside, Mount Ayr and AHSTW as the playoff qualifiers. The playoff qualifiers in Class A, District 8 were Woodbury Central, St. Albert, IKM Manning, and Logan Magnolia.
In Class 1A, District 8 the playoff qualifiers were Treynor, Underwood, Tri Center and Shenandoah.
The playoff pairings will be announced by the IHSAA Saturday morning at 10 am.
