(Adair) An Adair, Iowa, man died in a motorcycle crash in Adair County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened early this morning on the westbound Interstate 80 Exit 75 off-ramp. Authorities say 20-year-old Devon Michael Ernst died in the crash.
According to the report, Devon Ernst was operating a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600 RS westbound on Interstate 80, navigating the Exit 75 off-ramp, traveling too fast, and failed to negotiate the curve. The motorcycle left the roadway and struck a culvert. The impact caused Devon Ernst to be thrown from the bike. Authorities pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The Schmidt Family Funeral Home transported Devon Ernst to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
