(West Des Moines) The National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) has announced the student winners of the National Speaking and Service Award.
Three from the CAM Community School District are among the group being recognized for their service in the National Speech and Debate Honor Society for the 2024–2025 school year: Macy Burg, Megan Gerlock, and Ada Hansen.
The NSDA Honor Society recognizes students for participation in speech and debate activities. Students earn service points and levels of distinction through participation in speech and debate competitions, community service, leadership activities, public speaking, and more. Winners of the Speaking and Service Award earned 200 service points in the Honor Society last year, the maximum number possible per year.
