(Boone, IA) — The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released its football rankings for Class 2A, Class 1A, Class A, and Eight-Player, determined by the IHSAA Football Rankings Committees, and the second edition of Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) rankings for Class 5A, Class 4A, and Class 3A.
Atlantic is now ranked 16th in the Class 3A RPI. The Trojans are ranked higher than Carroll who is 21st. The Trojans and Tigers are tied for first place in Class 3A, District 6. Harlan is ranked 28th. Clear Lake is #1 in 3A.
Kuemper Catholic is ranked #1 in Class 2A. Treynor is ranked 5th in Class 1A while Underwood is 7th. In Class A, AC/GC is 3rd and Riverside 9th — the two teams play for the district title this Friday. Woodbine is #2 in 8 Man — Audubon is 5th.

Rankings for Class 2A, Class 1A, Class A, and Eight-Player will be determined throughout the 2025 regular season by official rankings committees. The committee rankings for 2A, 1A, A, and 8P will feature a top 10 consensus-built list as compiled by a six-person group: Two former head coaches and one media member – each representing different state regions – and three IHSAA staff members. The IHSAA will use the rankings as a primary tool for postseason assignments, while maintaining school and geographic considerations.
